My cousins 30th "shindig" caused for a new outfit, I alllllllllllllways find family party outfits hard to plan as you dot want to be too "fashionable" as you risk the chances of getting abused by your fashion clueless brothers!! But at the same time I like to portray my own style, so opted for a slight pastel themed attire , (I know, shock I went for pastels again) and topped it off with a cute bowler hat, which of course prompted the "Boy George" Jokes.... but whatever, I thought it looked cute!

Bowler Hat - Topshop, Sequin Cami - Topshop, Skirt - Asos, Studded Belt - River Island, Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell

Stupidly forgot to take a "full length" photo, however came across this accidental shot on my phone. so you get a rough idea!!

Wedges S/S 2012

Finally the sunshine is here which means..... plenty of ice cream, RayBan's and Wedges!! Wedges are a absolute MUST when it comes to my S/S wardrobe!! Year on year I cant help but increase my collection by a couple of  pairs, however men and wedges just don't go? My boyfriend just doesn't get the appeal, but they don't understand how well comfort and height works for us girls!!

The wedges I need in my wardrobe this summer:

Vivienne Westwood's Nude Wedges, Available to purchase throughout Eva Lucia Boutique, Not only are they the most comfortable wedges iv ever tried on, all of Dame Vivienne Westwoods Mellisa Range are smell of bubblegum..... making them even more Irresistible!! This photo does not give them justice!

River Islands wedges collection never fails in my eyes, this summer I have my set my sights on not one but two pair from there S/S 2012 range. The striking red would look perfect with a white summer dress and red lipstick... but I just cant wait for these leopard print baby's to arrive in store!! Where are they? LOOK magazine teased me with a picture of them months ago and I still find myself refreshing the website daily in case they appear, as my worst fear is missing out on them.... little bit shoe obsessed!

Kurt's Wedges often come in super high = ideal for me!!! My two faves are the "Spiked" Hilda &  the "Mad" Harris:

My dream wedges are these Charlotte Olympia Wedges, They are cute as a button, I love the nautical feel of them, I would wear them every day if I could.... but at £565 I'll just keep dreaming

I promise this is my last post on pastels, my blog has had a pastel overload but its just my favourite trend at the moment!! I cant help it :( Here is a very pastel inspired outfit I wore for a night out in Glasgow. I felt that the pink and mint really compliment each other once on, however the term "spring chicken" did come into my head, and it wasn't the sunniest of days in Glasgow, so I opted to piece it with black tights... not something I would usually do, but never the less it worked... or so I thought?

Blazer - Zara, Lace Corset - Topshop, Shorts - Topshop, Bag - Accesorize, Braceletes - Pandora, Tresor Paris, Thomas Sabo, Links Of London, Rings - Pandora

Some little pastel bargains caught my attention in town, thought I would share them!!

I loved the leopard print House Of Holland SS12 Inspired top from Primark, thank god for fast fashion

Mint Shoes - Primark £12, Bag - Accesorize £25, Top - Primark £4

Sorry again about the rubbish quality of my photos, will steal my dads fancy camera this week and get up to scratch!!

Uni work hijacked my social life over the past week, hence the lack of blog posts Roll on the 26th of April so I can blog until my little heart is content without any uni worries...... Of course I still had time for a little retail therapy so here are my purchases of the week:

Wedges are most likely my favourite footwear, I wear them daily as they enhance my 5.3 height with comfort!!! I came across these beauts while procrastinating on my favourite e-tail store ASOS, the pastel floral print is always a hit with me and combined with the "super high" wedge is a definite winner! Cant wait to wear them with a cute summer dress or my mint jeans.....

Asos Ablaze Super High Wedge - £60

I am infatuated with the colour mint green just now, I want it in everything and when I walked into River Island and a pair of mint skinnies were hanging on the rail in front of me and reduced, I had to make them mine!! I will wear with a pastely pink top, such a cute summery combo! Next on my mint hit list is a Mint Blazer as saw on Kimmy K and Jeffrey Campbell's mint lita's!!!

River Island - £20

I have an issue when walking past MAC, it always seems to lure me instore.... I didn't NEED any new make up, but want is a different scenario! Nicki Minaj has collaborated with MAC for viva glam, which has achieved tremendous success in the past, raising over 250 million dollars for a hiv/aids programme.. Which makes me feel its OK to spend £13.50 on a lipstick, as all costs goes toward helping women, men & children living with and affected by hiv/aids. The "bright yellow pink" is a risky colour for me as I feel its a tad brunette barbie, I usually go for darker shade... but after wearing it and receiving many compliments its a contender for my fave summer lipstick - minus macs coral vegas volt!!

Kandee Shoe's

Finally a brand to rival Kurt Geiger: Kandee Shoes, Mr Kandee at the tender age of twenty two has just launched his fourth highly anticipated collection! Spring/Summer 2012 witnessed the designer name "LOUD" his latest range which is the "ultimate eye Kandee" and follows a "High Fashion meets high street" philosophy! A sure way to get our sweet tooth fix, minus the calories.....

Adored by both sides of the Reality TV sector: "The Only Way Is Essex & Made In Chelsea

Amy Childs promoting her new Eyelash range In " Rolla Colla" and Millie's Fierce "Blackberry Crush". Other fashion icons have been spotted in my new favourite shoe's such as Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria and Cheryl Cole!! The shoes have graced the pages of fashion publications such as Vogue, InStyle, Cosmo, Grazia and OK!

The inspiration behind the shoes is all things sweet, that is why each pair of shoes is named after a candy treat! Adorned with studs, sparkles, neon colours and of course the trademark 6.1 inch heel... It is obvious to see why they have become such a hit. My favourites:

Peanut Butter Smooth Bootie

Dirty Lemonade Sneaker

Smartie

Girls can wear Bow Tie's

Dapper.....

Boys have took the reigns when it comes to looking Dapper, Suits, Tuxedo's and of course the bow tie. Now its the girls turn!! Our very own Princess Diana braved the trend with a simple black bow! Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, Brian Wolk & Claude Morais all offered bow tie alternatives on the catwalk and  since then the bow tie has significantly evolved in shape, texture & colours.

Formerly associated with geeks, contemporary versions of the classic accessory have made them rather avant-garde, #GeekChic! No longer reserved for formal occasions and can now be worn with cute collared playsuits, shirts & dresses! The Kardashian clan became my main inspiration and since then many celebrities have followed suit such as Rihanna, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Rachel McAdams and the one and only Beyonce!!

Next on my Bow Tie wishlist is Beyonce's Leather Studded Chain Robot & Brucling which retails in the state's for $68, however for a cheap alternative they are available to purchase at All Saints, swaggerandswoon.com and my favourite wee eBay shop

For £1.19 & free P+P you can afford to buy every colour & print, however be warned they do come all the way from Hong Kong so may take a couple of weeks!!

My Future Buys:

Thursday, 1 March 2012

As I am a notorious shopaholic, I find it extremely difficult to not purchase something when it catches my eye, (my mum thinks it an illness) There is nothing worse for a girl than debating over whether to buy something and thinking "I might come back" to go back and its out of stock!! Is it just me or does it make you want it ever more?

So each week I will post my top buys of the week and where to purchase them:

Topshop Knicker Shorts
This is my second pair of these, I also have the blue ones but loved them so much I had to treat myself to a second pair!! They are beautiful on and can be worn with a shirt, tights and boots for a more "casual" look, however I prefer to glam them up with a body and towering heels. Take note these shorts are really small made so you may have to go a size up, they are unfortunately sold out online however Glasgow Buchanan Street had some sizes on the rails yesterday.

Zara Printed Blouse
This shirt caught my eye as soon as I walked into store, not a big fan of horses but never the less the material & studded shoulder detail is what swung me, I am a sucker for anything studded! I would piece this shirt with a cute leather skirt and hair up to get full view on the studs.. Only size L available online

Metallic Jeans were a huge catwalk hit for autumn/winter 11, having purchased my first gold pair from River Island at £45 then watch them being reduced to £20 should of made me reluctant to purchase another pair, however this trend is still dominating many a celebs pins, and £20 for a Silver pair was to hard to neglect. I would definitely let the jeans do the talking and peice it with a sheer black blouse or a baggy jumper! Metallic Jeans are available in high street stores such as Zara, Topshop, River Island & Miss Selfridge in a variety of colours(Heidi Range wearing h&m)

Primark Playsuit
Typically a loyal topshop playsuit follower, but for £15 this very Caroline Flack playsuit was purchased with no hesitation! Came with a cute red patent belt, which adds a pop of colour and matches perfect with my MAC Russian red lipstick, it was the peter pan collar that secured the deal as I am little obsessed with these wee collars!

River Island Black Stripe & Border Print Maxi
Maxi skirts are a staple piece in my wardrobe, easy to fling on in the spring summer months! I had been eyeing this beaut up for a week and when I went to purchase it they never had my size, but I loved up too much so make do with the size up! Stripes have been prominent on the high street with the added colours to the skirt makes it even more gorge, Worn with a black crop top to show off a bit of a "pre summer glow", in the summer would be lush with any bright colours!!
Pink Flamingo Short Sleeve Jacket

This flamingo beaded collar jacket, was a bit of an impulse buy... but I have grown to love it the pastel shades of pink & lemon mixed together with sequins sounds like a dream! For now it would look cute with jeans and a plain white tee and when summer arrives it will be getting worn with pink shorts for a suit like theme & nude wedges
